Popular California Lake Nearly Full for First Time in 11 Years

An abnormally wet winter has brought good news to a popular lake in Southern California.Big Bear Lake is at more than 68 feet for the first time since November 2012, according to June 3 data from the Big Bear Municipal Water District, which manages the lake. The data shows that the lake has been steadily rising for months, a drastic improvement after its levels fell to around 55 feet in 2016 and it struggled to recover as California battled years of drought.
