A number of scenarios have been lined up, including a grand coalition between the ANC and Democratic Alliance (DA) and what some have called a doomsay coalition between the ANC and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
After the election results were announced on Sunday night, parties are expected to begin negotiations on Monday already.
Freedom Front Plus leader, Pieter Groenewald, said that no deal had been waged so far.
