The City of Cape Town’s fire department deployed more than 70 firefighters to extinguish a blaze in Nyanga on Friday afternoon. Spokesperson Jermaine Carelse said the department was alerted to the incident in the KTC informal settlement around 15:00.He added that the persistent strong winds made it difficult to contain the fire.
