The Citrus Management Committee (CGC) of Spain wants European authorities to quarantine South Africa’s Eastern Cape province after the discovery of a dangerous pathogen in its citrus fruit, writes Fresh Plaza.

Last week Citrus Research International (CRI) confirmed that HLB has been detected in a significant area within the Gqeberha municipality, that was affecting orange and lemon groves in private gardens.
