JOHANNESBURG – The African National Congress (ANC) has welcomed former spokesperson Pule Mabe’s decision to voluntarily step aside from the party’s national executive committee (NEC).
Mabe announced his decision to step aside on Wednesday after being charged with fraud and money laundering.
He made his first appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Wednesday in connection with a R27 million tender that was allegedly awarded irregularly to his company.
Party secretary-general, Fikile Mbalula, has thanked Mabe for adhering to the party’s step-aside policy.
