Tshwane places five officials on precautionary suspension over Rooiwal tender award

JOHANNESBURG – Five senior officials from the City of Tshwane have been placed on precautionary suspension for the controversial Rooiwal tender award.This follows a year-long internal disciplinary process that found them guilty on one of the four charges they faced. They were charged for being grossly negligent and that their conduct subsequently led to a breach of various legislation, policies and codes of conduct. The charges related to a matter involving Blackhead Consulting Services.The City disagreed with the outcome of the disciplinary process and sought legal opinion on it. This…
