PRETORIA – Consumers should expect a bit of relief when it comes to tariff increases, says Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.This is because Eskom has become less reliant on diesel to power its electricity requirements.READ: Electricity deputy minister says Eskom is not out of the dark yetThe minister says the utility saved a massive R12 billion in diesel costs from April to October.The aim now is to make Eskom an efficient electricity generator.He was giving an update on Independent Power Producers on Monday.
