KZN Education MEC ensures timely payments for markers and examination assistants

Durban — Markers and examination assistants employed during the 2024 National Senior Certificate marking process were paid on Monday. The department said marking commenced on December 1, 2024, in 32 marking centres with 9 390 markers appointed and finished on December 10, 2024, meeting the deadline envisaged by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education (DOE). Thus far, the KZN DOE has paid 9 390 markers and examination assistants.
