JOHANNESBURG – Joburg bookworms will soon be welcomed back into the Johannesburg City Library after it shut its doors a few years ago due to structural damages and non-compliance with fire safety standards.The closure of the monumental site highlighted years of neglect and lack of maintenance of some of the city’s buildings.Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero, has boldly promised that the library will partially re-open at the end of next month.He’s also revealed that the project to fix the building costed the city R54-million.eNCA’s Nkosikhona Malinga-Mnisi reports in the video above.
