GQEBERHA – The Eastern Cape government says it is eager to promote the province as the country’s cannabis industry hub.Premier Oscar Mabuyane and Rural Development and Agrarian Reform MEC, Nonkqubela Pieters announced a new partnership that could create thousands of jobs.Mabuyane has described the new cannabis investment as groundbreaking.Over the next five years, R1-billion will be ploughed in, with 30,000 job opportunities made available.Mabuyane says cannabis production will be used as a vehicle to grow the economy of a province where access to job opportunities is worrying.
