JOHANNESBURG – The South African Human Rights Commission has found that searching of domestic workers and their bags is unconstitutional.This after a case brought forward by one resident at the Eagle Canyon Golf Estate in Gauteng.In her complaint, the resident said that the searching of staff was racist and xenophobic.The Commission’s Gauteng Manager, Zamantungwa Mbeki, says while searching is not entirely wrong, targeting specific groups cannot be allowed.
