Dense fog transforms New York into a city on clouds

Dense fog enveloped the New York City skyline on Tuesday morning, making the city look like it was floating on clouds.The phenomenon, known as ‘advection fog’, formed as easterly winds blew over the cool waters of Long Island Sound. The wind then pushed the fog inland over to blanket New York City and southern Connecticut.
