Police arrested 90 protesters at Dartmouth College early Thursday, as campuses across the country continued to be gripped by a ballooning pro-Palestinian movement. Police said the protesters had erected tents and refused to disperse; a Dartmouth professor said in an interview it had been “a peaceful, inclusive protest” and the police response had been disproportionate. LAPD officers briefly entered the encampment the University of California at Los Angeles, before appearing to withdraw.
