JOHANNESBURG – Embattled former ANC MP, Bongani Bongo is back in the dock today in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.This comes four years after his controversial acquittal by then-Judge President John Hlophe.In 2021, Hlophe dismissed allegations that Bongo had attempted to bribe Eskom inquiry chair, Ntuthuzelo Vanara to collapse the parliamentary probe.That decision was later overturned by the Supreme Court of Appeal, which found the decision legally flawed.Bongo is expected to appear today, with the case likely to be referred back to the High Court for a re-trial.The NPA has indicated it…
