KWANOBUHLE, Eastern Cape – The Eastern Cape Education Department has called on school authorities to closely monitor all food consumed within school premises.This after confirming that 29 pupils had to be rushed to the clinic after eating chips allegedly sold by a vendor who operates at Nokhwezi Primary School in Kwanobuhle on Tuesday.The children complained of itchy skin and swollen and teary eyes, shortly after consuming the snack.eNCA’s Nceba Ntlanganiso spoke to parents and officials, and filed this report in the video above.
