JOHANNESBURG – Former Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has announced that she’s leaving the red berets.In a letter to the EFF’s leadership, Mkhwebane says she feels let down by the current Judiciary, Parliament and Executive. She was impeached in September last year. Mkhwebane says after careful consideration, she’s stepping away to focus on her family. She’s lost several court cases during her tenure as the Public Protector and even after leaving office.Most recently, the High Court in Pretoria dismissed her application for a R10-million gratuity claim from her ex-employer.
