Electricity Minister to give update on state of national grid

JOHANNESBURG – Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will give an update on the status of the grid.It comes as Eskom marks over four months of constant power supply.However, some municipalities in high-consumption areas have been experiencing load reduction.WATCH: ESKOM PRIORITISING RECOVERY OF R75 BILLION MUNICIPAL DEBTOver the past week, Eskom also achieved an average Energy Availability Factor of 70 percent.Authorities say the Generation Recovery Plan is working.It has also contributed to a R9-billion reduction in open-cycle gas turbine diesel expenditure.
