Health Minister gives update on plans to contain Mpox

PRETORIA – Two more cases of Mpox have been detected in the country.Health Minister Joe Phaahla will give details on plans to curb the spread.The latest case is a 39-year-old male who was admitted to Addington Hospital in Durban.READ: MONKEYPOX TO BE RENAMED MPOX: WHOAnother case was discovered at St Augustine Hospital, also in Durban.Last month two cases were reported in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.The NICD is calling on anyone with symptoms to be tested.They include rashes lasting two to four weeks, fever, muscle aches, back pain, low energy and swollen glands.
