Justice Mokgoro laid to rest

JOHANNESBURG – Former Constitutional Court Justice Yvonne Mokgoro has been laid to rest. Mokgoro died on 9 May, following a long struggle with injury and health complications related to last year’s car accident in Kimberley.She was the first black woman judge appointed to the bench of the Apex court.Mokgroro has been hailed as an exceptional jurist.President Cyril Ramaphosa says she was an icon for gender justice and that her appointment to the Constitutional Court was due to her many years of hard work.Ramaphosa also said that her legacy is a tribute to resilience.The…
